GENTLE EXERCISE AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES are proven ways to improve physical and mental health, and joining in with others at Winthrop Park makes in enjoyable and fun.

OUT AND ABOUT
The Park makes a perfect stop off point for those out and about already or wanting to join in with one of our activities. If you are in a cycling club, walking or running group, vintage car organisation, bird watchers, etc  then why not call for refreshments and a relax en-route. We welcome dogs in the Park, conservatory, and Patio areas (on leads) but not in the Tea Room.

Our “Mind How You Go” walks are organised throughout the year, setting off on easy circular routes from around the local area and taking in the local countryside with a call in stop at the Park – see the Calendar or contact us for details. We are part of the Around Rotherham Walk and the Parish Council Door Step Walks programme – just follow the blue pointer arrows on the footpath signs in the area.

PILATE CLASSES
We hold workshops and informative sessions that are both fun and skill developing. Social  interaction, meeting others, hobbies, dexterity skills, thinking, etc are proven therapy to help physical and mental health – helping individuals and communities with long term benefits. Many of the people that have joined our groups have become friends and spun out to meet for other activities outside the Park, adding new dimensions in their lives.
